May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

-Romans 15:13

God led me home and welcomed me back to the Catholic faith with love and forgiveness. Redeemed by His love, I have known the grace of His compassion and mercy, and the joy of returning home to my Catholic faith.
- Kim

Kim Casey was born and raised Catholic. She grew up in New England where she attended Catholic schools (taught by nuns of the Flecian order) for over 12 years. The fond memories of her Catholic education are very precious to Kim and the influence of her teachers inspired her, as a little girl, to want to be a nun. Unfortunately, swept up in the complexities of her parents' difficult divorce, Kim fell away from the roots of her faith as a young adult. But her devoted maternal grandmother would tell Kim in later years, that prayers were offered every day for her return to the church.

Kim was a homebirth midwife for almost 30 years and worked in private practice with women and families from a broad range of cultures, including the Amish and Mennonites.

Kim was the founder of the first licensed school of Traditional Midwifery in the United States which developed programs that educated women in the US, and around the world, to improve maternity care and support women's birth choices. For more than 30 years Kim also worked to found, and support, various non-profit organizations that promoted economic growth, agricultural incentives, arts and humanities, and humanitarian causes for the disadvantaged.

Enthusiastic about working with children, Kim was a 4-H leader for over 10 years establishing music and arts-focused enrichment clubs for young people. She wrote, recorded and produced a children's music album in the 1990's which became part of an extended project, (in cooperation with Isaiah Thomas) which helped to raise proceeds donated to agencies that protected children from child abuse. In 1995, Kim was presented an award from the National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse for her work.

Kim as been a juried performer with the Michigan Touring Arts (Humanitarian Arts Council) for many years since the 1990's, and currently produces theater programs that raise money for child focused special interest groups, Humane Societies, and more.

Widowed in 2015, Kim is a devoted mother to her grown children, one of which she nearly lost to narrowly missed medical treatment for a misdiagnosed miscarriage. "Hannah's Story" is a feature of Kim's pro-life presentation. Kim also enjoys being an active grandmother.

Despite the evolvement of society into a tolerance for abortion, Kim never joined or supported the pro-choice movement. She couldn't accept the idea that a woman's liberty included the right to end another life as a matter of convenience; Kim's heart was always firmly faithful to the principles of pro-life.

Unable to be comfortable with healthcare ideologies that sometimes blurred the lines between contraception and abortion, (often feeling that certain procedures were beyond what her conscience could bear), and being in a profession where neutrality had to be maintained, Kim retired early from midwifery, to work exclusively on her Christian music ministry, and writing.

Not long afterwards, Kim followed the yearning of her heart - which she had suppressed for years - and returned home to the spiritual oasis of the Catholic church.

Kim attends Sacred Heart Cathoic Church in Oscoda, Michigan, where she is a choir member, a Lector, and is active in various other ministries.

Kim's presentations as a public speaker focus on the redemptive love of Christ Jesus. Her information is tenderly presented to inspire and motivate audiences to be the hands and feet of Christ as His disciples. Even the most difficult, thought provoking subject details are delivered with sensitivity, dignity, and most especially love.

Kim enriches her programs with music selections that allow her audiences to self-reflect and sing along. An accomplished and award winning vocalist and musician, Kim skillfully accompanies herself by playing alternatively tuned guitars that are unique for being rare, vintage models.

God Will Welcome You Home
Coming home can be a challenge for someone trying to return to the church. Most of us know at least one person who was formerly a Roman Catholic, someone who has not attended mass for a few months, a few years, or even a few decades. How can you help? How can practicing Catholics share the inspirations of their faith with those who are on the outside looking in?

Speaking from the deep and sensitive personal experience of having been away from the church for over 30 years, Kim explores the complexities, spiritual conflicts and loneliness lapsed Catholics sometimes face. She shares ideas and thoughts about the work of ministry we are called to do in reaching out to welcome home those who have been away from the faith, and how to encourage those trying to return to the Catholic church.

Kim's perspective and personal story of social transitiion and religious adjustment is especially unique for Kim having been a plain-dressed Quaker for many years.

The Abortion Crisis - A Call to Love in Action
As Christians, as Roman Catholics, as the people of God, our call is to love. And the love that we feel for our brothers and sisters, and for people of the whole world, we feel especially for all children everywhere, at every stage of life, inside of the womb, and outside of the womb. We recognize the sanctity of life - it is the most precious gift from God.

So, what can we do? What should we do? Is there really a loving solution to be found as we live day to day in an ever progressively enlightened society of "free thinkers", determined to claim bodily rights to the detriment of the lives of dependent, unborn children?

In this compelling presentation, Kim Casey speaks from her experience as a midwife and shares meaningful insights about responsible activism in a life of faith that uniquely calls Christians to demonstrate and convey the love of Christ Jesus in all ways, and on all occasions.

This program also incudes an interesting display of life-like fetal models which helps audiences get a better view and understanding of the stages of developement of babies before birth.
